Over $14K raised!

Last Sunday, November 5, 2017, over 365 guests gathered at Buffet Amiens in St-Leonard for our annual “Cavatelli fatti con cuore alla Castelgrandese” banquet. This year’s banquet raised over $14,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation! Over fifty volunteers started the day in the wee hours of the morning preparing the cavatelli that we would eat later on.

A BIG thank you to all our donors and volunteers! Grazie a tutti!

On Sunday, November 6, 2016, the Associazione Maria SS. di Costantinopoli di Castelgrande in Montreal held its annual fundraising event – “Cavatelli fatti con cuore alla Castelgrandese” – at Buffet Amiens in St-Leonard. Over forty volunteers started the day in the early hours of the morning preparing the cavatelli that we would eat later on during the banquet.

The banquet was a great success. With over 200 guests in attendance, we raised a grand total of $11,172.05 for the Giant Steps Foundation! The Foundation supports the Giant Steps School, the only autism specific school to offer academic and social inclusion programs in Quebec.

This past Monday (December 12, 2016), members of the Association’s Board of Directors presented a check for $11,172.05 to Seiun Thomas Henderson, Director General of Giant Steps School, and Élaine Lalonde and Tracy Pennimpede from the Giant Steps Foundation.
